On Tuesday, the top performer in U.S. stock trading was Meta Platforms ( META.US ), which closed down 1.64% with a trading volume of 31.541 billion dollars.

Insiders revealed that the expanded $25 billion stock offering by Meta Platforms ( META.O ) received subscription demand approximately five times the number of shares available for subscription. The company is planning to raise $98 billion to fund expenditures in the field of artificial intelligence. Insiders stated that in this common stock offering, more than half of the shares were allocated to long-term investors and existing shareholders. Among them, the top 15 investors by subscription volume received a total of about 70% of the issued shares. The offering was priced at $625 per share, which represents a 2.7% discount from the closing price on Friday before the announcement of the offering. On Tuesday, the stock price of Meta fell 1.4% to $621.47 per share in the New York market. This stock offering is just part of Meta's financing plan. The plan also includes the issuance of $12.5 billion in mandatory convertible preferred stock, as well as a planned additional share issue at market price. If the final fundraising amount reaches $98 billion, it will become one of the largest equity financing plans in history. (Bloomberg)

The second one is Micron Technology ( MU.US ), which rose by 2.77% and traded at $21.125 billion.

In the second half of the year, market trends shifted, and the stock prices of AI component manufacturers in sectors such as semiconductors and storage began to come under pressure. Investors started to doubt whether the commitments to make substantial expenditures could be sustained. A positive factor for storage stocks is that their valuations are not expensive; Micron Technology's stock is expected to have a price-earnings ratio (P/E) of 5 times over the next 12 months, making it the second-lowest P/E stock in the S&P 500 index.

The third on the list is NVIDIA ( NVDA.US ), which rose by 0.90% and traded at a value of 18.348 billion US dollars.

According to ZDNet, Samsung and SK Hynix are preparing to supply 8-layer HBM4 to NVIDIA Rubin Ultra in the second quarter of 2027, which means that the original plan to use 12-layer HBM4E may change. Meanwhile, according to Wccftech, NVIDIA quietly reduced the bandwidth specifications of the Vera Rubin platform as early as last September – the bandwidth of each Rubin GPU was cut by about 13%, and at the system level, the reduction was as high as 26%.

The aforementioned adjustments have a direct impact on both HBM suppliers and the GPU industry chain. The lowering of the bandwidth threshold means that more HBM4 products are expected to pass NVIDIA's qualification certification, expanding the potential sources of supply; the introduction of 8-layer configurations will reduce the cost and BOM (Bill of Materials) burden for each group of HBM stacks. Against the backdrop of continued tight HBM supply, this is expected to alleviate capacity bottlenecks.

The fourth on the list is Tesla ( TSLA.US ), which rose by 4.04% and traded for $18.201 billion.

Tesla rises by over 4%, with its market value returning to $1.6 trillion, rebounding by more than 30% from its lowest point in 2026.

The fifth one is SpaceX ( SPCX.US ), with a gain of 1.14% and trading volume of 14.239 billion US dollars.

The sixth on the list is Apple ( AAPL.US ), which rose by 0.93% and traded for $13.531 billion.

Apple released a series of new products this week, and on the eve of the debut of touchscreens with MacBook Pro, the company took the lead in launching a 24-inch iMac and a 14-inch entry-level MacBook Pro equipped with M6 chips.

Two new models will be available for pre-order at 1:10 a.m. on October 29th, with official shipping starting on November 6th. The starting price for the new iMac is 12,499 RMB, and for the MacBook Pro it is 15,999 RMB. Apple states that the M6 chip provides the new iMac with five times the performance improvement in artificial intelligence tasks compared to the previous model, while the graphics processing speed of the entry-level MacBook Pro has increased by 30% over its predecessor.

This release is the second wave of Apple's new product offensive this week. On Monday, the company just updated iPad and mini, adding screen upgrades and water resistance features. Wall Street Journal mentioned that Apple will wrap up this week's product releases with its first-ever touchscreen device, MacBook Pro.

The 7th on the list is American Ultra Micro Corporation ( AMD.US ), which saw a gain of 5.45% and traded at $11.389 billion.

AMD plans to invest $1 billion in stock issuance to Meta. The AMD Helios rack-level system is now in operation at Meta.

The 9th position is Google-A ( GOOGL.US ), which rose by 1.19% and traded for $9.107 billion.

Google claims that Genie 4 is its most realistic and interactive world model to date, with Gemini serving as the “brain” that simulates the world, planning and adjusting scenarios in real-time; all generated content comes with a SynthID watermark. Currently, it is available in a research preview version to a small selection of tested users, and in the future, it will be gradually rolled out to Google AI Ultra subscription users and some developers. Google is exploring potential applications for this new model in gaming, film and television, and robotics, studying how to integrate it into existing workflows and determining the limits of its capabilities.

The 11th one is Broadcom ( AVGO.US ), with a gain of 4.00% and trading volume of 8.704 billion US dollars.

Broadcom arranges for financial partners to purchase AI racks based on customized AI accelerators. It provides residual value support for special purpose vehicles (SPV), with the maximum potential liability under the guarantee arrangement being approximately $43 billion. The company assumes a maximum compensation liability of $43 billion for AI racks, covering 72.5% of the customers' rental amounts as a safeguard.

The 13th on the list is Intel ( INTC.US ), which saw a gain of 3.61% and traded at $8.347 billion.

Intel and Oracle announce plans to undertake a multi-year collaboration to expand the deployment of Intel Xeon (Xeon) processors on Oracle's cloud infrastructure (OCI), in order to meet the growing demands for enterprise applications, agents (AI) ( (Agentic AI), and inference. Both parties will coordinate roadmaps and capacity planning, with the collaboration covering current and future Xeon platforms, including planned instances based on Intel's next-generation server processors (codenamed Diamond Rapids) and OCI X14.

The 14th on the list is Boeing ( BA.US ), which fell by 10.69% and traded for $8.089 billion.

Boeing's latest financial report disappointed the market, and its stock price tumbled significantly as a result.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg stated on Tuesday that the company's goal of producing 47 737 series aircraft per month will be postponed until the beginning of 2027, which is a significant delay from previous expectations.

At the same time, the company's announced growth expectations for free cash flow are far lower than Wall Street's consensus: approximately $3 billion next year and about $6 billion in 2028. According to LSEG data, analysts previously predicted $5.6 billion and $9.6 billion respectively.

As of the close, Boeing's stock price tumbled 10%, hitting a low not seen since April 2025.

The 15th on the list is Seagate Technology ( STX.US ), which saw a gain of 3.67% and traded at $5.639 billion.

Driven by the storage demand of AI, Seagate's revenue in the first fiscal quarter reached $4.23 billion, a year-on-year increase of 61%. Both its profitability and guidance for the next quarter exceeded expectations. Thanks to cost control, the gross margin soared above 57%, and the company has strong cash flow. The company regards HAMR technology as the core of long-term growth. However, the nearly 150% increase within the year has raised market expectations.

Zhilefang Achieves Outstanding Results in the Heart of the Controversy Between Obama and Trump
California-based restaurant chain Zilufang announced strong third-quarter results on Tuesday: quarterly revenue amounted to $1.03 billion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 14%, and same-store sales grew by over 15%. A few days ago, former President Obama compared Trump's renovation of the White House to "a Zilufang restaurant run by Saddam Hussein" during a campaign rally, which triggered a backlash from Republicans and led them to defend the chain brand. Company executives did not mention this controversy during the financial report conference call, and the company also chose not to comment publicly.
