The service provider and administrator of CADC Reserve Trust, Loon Payments Inc, stated that CADC will be provided to users across Canada in accordance with the final prospectus.
Toronto, October 27 (Reuters/ PR Newswire ) – CADC Reserve Trust (hereinafter referred to as the “Issuer”) announced on Tuesday that the Ontario Securities Commission has issued a receipt regarding its final prospectus dated October 22, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the “Prospectus”). The Prospectus relates to a continuous issuance: blockchain tokens issued by the Issuer, which are pegged to the value of the Canadian dollar at a one-to-one ratio and operate on a supported blockchain (each token is referred to as “CADC Token” or “CADC”), with a fixed purchase price of C$1.00 per token. Loon Payments Inc is the service provider and administrator for this issuance.

This prospectus enables CADC Token to be distributed in all provinces and regions of Canada. The issuer distributes CADC Token through a network of authorized participants, which may include registered cryptocurrency trading platforms, Canadian financial institutions, as well as platforms that have been exempted from regulations and are able to trade stablecoins on an unmanaged basis. Eligibility to participate depends on the requirements and conditions specified in the prospectus and the applicable exemptions.
Eligible end-users can obtain CADC through authorized participants. CADC can be stored in a self-hosted wallet and used for sending and receiving payments. With the authorization of participant Paytrie, eligible Canadian customers can use Interac and e-Transfer to purchase CADC and sell it back in Canadian dollars in accordance with the service terms of Paytrie.
Paytrie CEO Jason Tong stated: "Canadians will be able to buy and sell CADC in Canadian dollars through us. Supporting Interac e-Transfer provides eligible customers with a familiar way to access CADC." Loon Payments Inc. CEO Kevin Zhang said: "Canadian dollar stablecoins are only useful when Canadians can have access to them. Everything we have done since 2021 has revolved around that point."
The prospectus describes the CADC project, the issuer's financial reports and monthly certification arrangements, as well as the rights applicable to purchasers, including the conditions and limitations of these rights.
The design goal for each CADC Token is to maintain a stable value equivalent to 1 Canadian dollar. For each CADC Token purchased from the issuer, 1.00 Canadian dollars will be deposited into an isolated reserve trust account held by ATB Financial, which is the custodian of the issuer's assets. The prospectus also describes the reserve arrangement (see the prospectus for definitions) and the redemption terms.
Potential purchasers should consult the prospectus, including the disclosures regarding reserve arrangements, redemption provisions, and risk factors.
