Sectra Reporting Lands in the Sinai Mountain Medical System, Integrating Imaging, AI and Radiology Reports into the Same System
Lund, Sweden, November 4, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- International medical imaging company IT and cybersecurity firm Sectra ( STO : SECT B ) have signed an agreement with Mount Sinai Medical System in New York ( Mount Sinai Health System ) to deliver Sectra Reporting. This is a native reporting module within the Sectra enterprise imaging solution Sectra One Cloud.
Sectra indicates that radiologists at Mount Sinai will be able to complete the entire process, from working on a list of tasks to signing a report, in a seamless experience, without the need to switch between multiple systems, which will help to reduce the report turnaround time.
Dr. Mendelson, Vice President of Information Technology at the Radiology Department of Mount Sinai Medical System, stated: "Radiologists regard image review and report writing as the same task, and the tools they use should also collaborate in the same manner. With the help of Sectra Reporting, which is part of our PACS framework, the report functionality will evolve in tandem with the imaging platform. New capabilities, including AI, will also be available to our radiologists without the need to integrate another system."
According to the announcement, Mount Sinai Health System is the first medical system in the United States to establish a partnership with Sectra regarding radiology reports. Sectra Reporting integrates images, AI, and reports onto a single platform.
The announcement states that Mount Sinai is one of the leading comprehensive academic medical systems in the United States and also one of the largest medical systems in the New York metropolitan area. It boasts 7 hospitals, over 400 outpatient facilities, more than 600 research and clinical laboratories, as well as the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai ( Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai ). The medical system has currently been using Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions in radiology, breast imaging, and enterprise-level archiving. By integrating Sectra Reporting into the same platform, it will be possible to reduce supplier complexity and simplify IT management.
This seven-year contract was signed in the second quarter of the Sectra 2026/2027 fiscal year and covers all radiology services, with an annual inspection volume of over 1.2 million cases. It is planned to be launched in the spring of 2027.
Sectra, Inc. President Isaac Zaworski stated: "The report should be consistent with where the images are located. In Sectra, these two elements belong to the same system. Sinai Mountain has decided to adopt Sectra Reporting, which reflects a broader shift in the industry towards unified diagnostic workflows. We look forward to showing what this means for radiologists – they will have fewer applications to manage, while patients can benefit from faster turnaround times."
Sectra indicates that with the help of Sectra Reporting, radiologists can dictate freely, and the system will automatically process the reports structurally. The conclusions drafted by AI are then reviewed, and a quality check is run before signing to identify any inconsistencies.
The announcement states that Sectra's enterprise imaging solutions provide a unified strategy for various imaging needs, while also reducing operational costs. This scalable and modular solution is centered around VNA, enabling healthcare providers to expand from one specialty to another, and from one enterprise to another.
