PGPZ Submits Lobbying Registration in Washington, Focusing on Zcash Policies

According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cointelegraph, the advocacy organizations focused on Zcash – Pretty Good Policy, for, and Zcash (including PGPZ) – submitted their lobbying registration in Washington on October 1st. The sole lobbyist was the executive director, Divij Pandya. The registration listed the current and anticipated lobbying topics to include the Clarity bill as well as two digital asset taxation proposals. PGPZ was established in June of this year, originating from Electric Coin Co. The initiative Pretty Good Policy, Crypto launched in 2022, held policy roundtables in Washington and organized a congressional briefing on blockchain technology in 2023. The founder of PGPZ, Zodl, who also serves as the chief policy and regulatory officer, Paul Brigner, stated that the goal is to ensure that Zcash has a serious, organized, and credible policy presence in Washington. In August, Zcash Community Grants approved funding of $750,000 for the first year of work of PGPZ.
