Justin Drake: Bitcoin and Ethereum Holders Need to Prepare for AI Attacks
2026-10-09 04:57:57
According to CoinMeta, Ethereum researcher Justin Drake calls on the crypto industry to begin preparing for a “bunker mode,” warning that artificial intelligence may find ways to crack the mathematical protections of Bitcoin and Ethereum wallets within a few months. He suggests that large holders gradually transfer their funds to new addresses to reduce risk. Drake indicates that AI could help attackers find shortcuts to crack private keys, allowing them to control these assets with less computing power on ordinary computers. Although there have been no proven attacks on Bitcoin or Ethereum wallet keys yet, he emphasizes that attacks assisted by AI have already caused real losses.
