According to CoinMeta, France and Germany have proposed a 'trade cannon' strategy against China, and the EU is preparing to confront China due to a trade deficit of over $1 billion per day, which is causing anxiety among political leaders. The EU Commission's chief trade envoy, Maroš Šefčović, will hold two-day talks with Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao in Beijing on Thursday, with the goal of reducing the EU's trade deficit with China, which amounts to 360 billion euros (about $410 billion). On Wednesday, the European Parliament passed a resolution with 454 votes in favor and 86 against, calling for tougher policies towards China and advocating for 'economic reciprocity and a corresponding EU response'.
