Crypto for Advisors: Digital assets surpass stocks and gold in Q3
2026-10-09 07:43:29
CoinMeta data: According to CoinDesk, digital assets performed strongly in the third quarter of 2026, surpassing stocks and gold and ending three consecutive quarters of losses. Based on the latest quarterly review and outlook from CoinDesk, the recovery of digital assets was driven by the alleviation of geopolitical tensions, improved liquidity, and a return of institutional funds. The CoinDesk 20 index rose by 52.7% to 2,447, while Bitcoin increased by 42.7% to $83,554. Despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, the situation has eased compared to the second quarter. In August, the U.S. Treasury Department expanded its long-term bond repurchases, reviving the narrative of "devaluation trading." The strong performance of digital assets demonstrates the integration between traditional finance and digital asset infrastructure.
