Trump: Those who use the term "artificial intelligence" are enemies
2026-10-09 12:09:05
According to CoinMeta, President Trump stated on social media that anyone who uses the term “artificial intelligence” (AI) rather than “superintelligence” (SI) is an enemy. Although the White House still uses the old terminology, Trump’s statement has drawn attention to this new term. An executive order dated September 29 required federal agencies to use the term “superintelligence,” but it did not impose any constraints on private companies. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, also stated on October 4 that the SpaceX units will be renamed SpaceXSI. This move has drawn attention to the domain name market, especially as the number of domain name registrations related to “SI” surged in September.
