2026-10-09 12:21:25
According to CoinMeta, Leung Fung-yee, the Chief Executive of the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, stated at a meeting of the Asian Securities Association and Financial Markets Association that the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will issue a discussion document on extending the trading hours of the spot market in the fourth quarter. This measure is aimed at reforming the market micro-structure to help investors keep up with the pace of global markets across different time zones and to ensure that Hong Kong maintains its competitive advantage. In the long run, the policy of extending trading hours will be complemented by innovative measures such as tokenized currencies and digital Hong Kong dollar settlement arrangements to enhance investors' flexibility and risk management capabilities.
