Charles Hoskinson accuses Vitalik Buterin of protecting one's own quantum bets

According to CoinMeta, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson accuses Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin of belittling competitors' cryptographic technologies in order to protect his own research. He claims that Buterin is too reliant on hash-based cryptographic research and cannot back down. This dispute is not only a disagreement between the two founders but also involves how major blockchains plan to protect wallets from future quantum computers. Hoskinson believes that Buterin is trying to convince everyone that lattice structures (lattices) are bad because they are too dependent on hash-based cryptographic research and cannot change direction. Nevertheless, Hoskinson does not completely reject hash-based tools; he thinks they are suitable for certain purposes, but they are still considered a "algebraic dead end" for more advanced functions. He also points out that Buterin's posts have caused developers to deviate from important research.
