According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Guardian in its business section, the price of Brent crude oil fell on Friday due to U.S. President Donald Trump's promise not to attack Iran before the mid-term elections in November. Meanwhile, the data storage company Snowflake stated that the hacking incident involving ASOS was not caused by any vulnerabilities or defects in their platform. An investigation by ASOS revealed that an "unauthorized third party obtained login credentials by impersonating a trusted contact and accessed the accounts of ASOS employees." ASOS indicated that these credentials were subsequently used to access information on third-party platforms utilized by the company. Snowflake confirmed that this incident was not related to their services, platform, or internal environment, and customers did not need to take any remedial actions.
