2026-10-09 20:10:20
According to CoinMeta, Zcash ( ZEC ) is addressing the quantum threats faced by cryptocurrencies and plans to launch an anti-quantum technology upgrade in January 2027. This upgrade will introduce hash-based digital signatures to protect wallets from future quantum attacks, which could expose private keys and lead to theft. Zcash: native will also address the issue of transparent transactions, where private keys are made public when tokens are spent. Developers are also testing a technology that allows wallets to check their balances without exposing the address to servers. Although the January timeline has not been confirmed yet, protected transactions will require additional security measures.
