According to CoinMeta, Cobo has announced that its consumer wallet application will be closed on December 1, 2026. Users need to withdraw their assets before that date; otherwise, they will face a minimum monthly account management fee of $100. As per the notice from Cobo, users must complete the asset transfer by November 30, with the closure time being midnight on December 1, which is UTC plus 8 hours. Cobo also requires users to replace or delete the Cobo wallet receiving addresses saved on exchanges, mining pools, and other platforms to prevent funds from being sent to the old addresses by mistake. This closure only applies to the consumer wallet application. Cobo has stopped accepting new registrations since 2021 and now focuses mainly on institutional wallet services.
