CoinMeta data: On-chain analyst Specter has discovered that more stolen funds have flowed into Zcash. These activities are related to several security incidents, particularly those associated with the Bitget attackers disclosed by Zachxbt. Specter indicates that other threat actors have begun to use the privacy features of Zcash for money laundering. Zachxbt reports that on September 24, 2026, attackers stole approximately 18,900 ZEC from hot wallets, worth about 28.3 million US dollars. Following this attack, the attackers began to hide about 2,700 ZEC, worth around 3.8 million US dollars, through the Ironwood pool of Zcash. The overall investigation shows that the total network losses amount to 387.5 million US dollars.
