According to CoinMeta, Deutsche Bank plans to launch an encrypted asset custody service for German institutional clients within the next few weeks, initially supporting Bitcoin and Ethereum. The technology was jointly developed by Taurus. This service is designed to meet requirements for asset isolation, operational control, reporting, insurance arrangements, and regulatory compliance, and is not aimed at retail users. Deutsche Bank has also discussed plans for tokenized deposits, digital securities, and an expansion to Asian financial centers by 2027, but such progress must be approved by regulators.
