The $10 trillion US AI infrastructure faces significant challenges
2026-10-18 22:04:40
According to CoinMeta, a recent survey by The Financial Times indicates that the construction of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States may require nearly $10 trillion, but at least 47 data center projects are facing delays, cancellations, or obstacles by 2026. Analysts estimate that only about 35% of the development plans are credible, which has raised concerns about the billions of dollars in investments promised for data centers that fail to be completed on time. Building a AI data center is not just about purchasing NVIDIA GPU; it also requires ensuring access to land, electricity, transformers, cooling equipment, regulatory permits, and sufficient financing.
