According to CoinMeta, the official of MiniMax released a preview on social media, announcing that M3.1 and Flash are about to debut, and for the first time linked the previously popular anonymous model "Space Rabbit" with this version. On September 23rd, Space Rabbit made its anonymous debut on openrouter and opencode, offering it for free for a limited time. It supports input of up to 1 million token contexts, images, and videos, and allows for adjustment of the reasoning strength. It once topped the daily usage charts on both platforms. Developers found through part-of-speech analyzer fingerprints and token counting tests that it closely matched the MiniMax M series, but the official has not confirmed its identity. As early as September 27th, MiniMax opened a public beta of M3.1 and Flash Preview, focusing on high-speed reasoning and programming tasks. Currently, the official API documentation already includes M3.1 and Flash without the Preview suffix, supporting five levels of reasoning strength and tool calls.
