He explained that stablecoins carry less risk compared to Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies, as the U.S. Treasury Department provides clearer regulations and protections. He categorized crypto assets into three types, noting that stablecoins have the lowest volatility at present. O' Leary also mentioned that the security of stablecoins depends on the quality of their reserves, the issuer, and the redemption terms. Although the prices of stablecoins are relatively stable, they are not completely risk-free. He classified Bitcoin as a separate category, believing its volatility to be much higher than that of other crypto assets, and emphasized that Bitcoin remains a speculative asset, with institutional adoption constrained by regulatory concerns.
