According to CoinMeta, OKX launched a Shield account protection program in the United States on October 20th, offering up to $500,000 in protection for eligible users. The program covers unauthorized account takeovers caused by phishing, malware, and SIM card exchange attacks, and users are required to enable security settings such as passphrases. Former Governor of New York State, Andrew Cuomo, stated that his interest in cryptocurrencies began in 2011. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of OKX and co-chairs a joint venture with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. He supports OKX's efforts to tokenize U.S. stocks and noted that some companies are still observing the situation. Andrew Cuomo predicts that Clarity Act will not be voted on before the mid-term elections in 2026, with the next opportunity possibly coming in January next year. He stated that the U.S. Congress should reduce party strife and establish clearer federal rules for the digital asset market. Companies such as Microsoft and Google's parent company, Alphabet, are currently cautious about tokenizing stocks.
