According to CoinMeta, NVIDIA announced that companies such as Bolt, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and the automated freight company Einride are advancing autonomous driving projects based on the NVIDIA Hyperion computing platform, covering L3 and L4 levels of autonomous driving, as well as future Robotaxi fleets. Volvo Cars will use the Hyperion platform and the Alpamayo autonomous driving software stack, while Mercedes-Benz will utilize it to develop L3 and L4 levels of autonomous driving capabilities. NVIDIA has also introduced a Halos SAFE safety assessment framework that integrates simulation, hardware and software in-loop testing, road testing, and fleet monitoring into a unified assessment process to support the development and deployment of autonomous driving systems. Bolt has chosen the NVIDIA Alpamayo software stack and plans to start collecting real-road driving data in Madrid from 2027 after obtaining regulatory approval, with the goal of deploying at least 25,000 future Lucid vehicles equipped with L4 level autonomous driving capabilities in Europe.
