Bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms repaid a $200 million credit line from Coinbase Credit this week and released the related collateral.
This credit line was previously secured by the pledge of financial assets identified as Riot, which included Bitcoin, USDC, and cash; these assets are managed by Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
According to a document submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday under Riot, the company paid off the remaining principal and interest on Monday.
Riot indicates that this early repayment or termination arrangement did not incur any early termination fees or penalties.
Meanwhile, this mining company is also continuing to expand its data center business. As reported in August, Cointelegraph, Riot Platforms has reached a 20-year agreement to provide 191 megawatts of capacity from its Rockdale campus in Texas to a “leading frontier AI” company.
Bloomberg subsequently cited sources as reporting that this client is Anthropic, and the value of this transaction is approximately $9 billion.
Cointelegraph reported in May this year that Riot Platforms had revenue of $167.2 million in the first quarter of 2026, of which the newly launched data center business contributed $33.2 million.
