IT News on September 28th: Shenlan Automobile officially announced today that its 1 millionth vehicle has been successfully mass-produced and rolled off the production line.

As previously reported by IT, on September 1st, Deep Blue Automobile announced that its global sales in August reached 28,659 units, bringing the cumulative global sales to over 947,600 units. Deep Blue currently covers more than 100 countries and regions around the world, and is expected to steadily join the club of one million users within this year.

Public information indicates that the origin of the Deep Blue brand can be traced back to Chongqing Changan New Energy Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., which was established on May 28, 2018. This company is the main bearer of Changan Automobile's new energy strategy known as the "Shangri-La Plan." In January 2022, Changan Automobile officially launched the "Deep Blue" new energy brand and unveiled its first model, the Deep Blue SL03. In April 2023, the company was renamed Deep Blue Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. Currently, Changan Automobile holds a 50.9959% stake in Deep Blue Automobile, making it the controlling shareholder.

Deep Blue SL03 is built on the EPA1 all-electric digital platform and is compatible with three power forms: pure electric, extended-range, and hydrogen-powered. It was launched in July 2022, and by December of the same year, the delivery volume exceeded 10,000 units. In just 17 months, it achieved a sales record of 100,000 units. Currently, Deep Blue Automobile has formed a product matrix that includes multiple models such as SL03, L07, L06, S05, S07, S09, and G318.

The 1 millionth mass-produced node, in conjunction with the launch of the new Deep Blue S07 AI Laser Edition on September 28th, was co-created by Deep Blue Automobile and Volcano Engine around the DouBao large model and intelligent cockpit. It is positioned as a "long-range AI laser intelligent SUV" vehicle.

In the core three-electric field, DeepBlue's self-developed Force Ultra Set Electric Drive reached its 1 millionth unit produced in March 2026. The new generation of Force Ultra Set Electric Drive system has an overall efficiency of 94.13%, with a power density of not less than 4.25kW per kg.

Overseas, the Deep Blue Thailand Rayong factory has started production, with a total investment of about 10 billion Thai baht (approximately 2 billion yuan). The designed annual production capacity for the first phase is 100,000 units, mainly supplying right-hand drive models. As of August 2026, Deep Blue Automobile's cumulative overseas sales have reached 52,647 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 76.98%.

Financially, in 2024, Deep Blue Automobile achieved operating revenue of 37.225 billion yuan and a net profit of -1.572 billion yuan; in the first half of 2025, the operating revenue was 20.654 billion yuan with a net profit of -553 million yuan. In December 2025, Changan Automobile announced that Deep Blue Automobile plans to carry out a capital increase and share expansion, with an expected fundraising scale of about 6.122 billion yuan. The funds will be used for new vehicle research and development, innovation in core technologies for intelligence and electrification, as well as enhancing the global brand strength.
