Hitron Technologies and Airties announced the establishment of a new strategic partnership at SCTE TechExpo26 in Atlanta on Monday. The goal is to help internet service providers (ISP) reach out to the long-neglected small and medium-sized enterprise (SMB) market. The joint solution will combine Hitron's high-performance SMB gateways with Airties Pro software to fill the market gap between residential broadband and enterprise-level systems. Hitron and Airties are currently collaborating with multiple service providers to bring this joint solution to their SMB customers.

Traditional Wi-Fi connectivity platforms have always presented SMB with a dilemma: residential-grade broadband is low-cost and easy to operate, but it lacks the security, network isolation, and business continuity required by SMB; enterprise-level solutions offer stronger performance and security, but they are more costly, more complex, and have longer deployment cycles, often constituting overconfiguration for smaller-scale environments. The combination of Airties Pro and Hitron is aimed at providing critical business capabilities to SMB in a simpler and more affordable manner, while also helping ISP to seize untapped monetization opportunities.

Airties, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, stated: "SMB is one of the largest and most overlooked monetization opportunities that ISP faces. Bridging the product gap between residential platforms and enterprise platforms is a strategic priority. By combining the high-performance gateway of Hitron with Airties Pro, we provide operators with a platform tailored for SMB, helping them to unlock meaningful new sources of revenue by offering SMB customers the reliability, visibility, and security required for their business."

Hitron, President and Chief Technology Officer, stated: "For many years, Hitron has been refining gateway performance for high-demand environments. By combining our hardware with Airties Pro software, we have provided a connection platform tailored for the SMB market for leading ISP. In collaboration with Airties, we have provided operators with a foundation of performance and intelligent capabilities, helping them transform an overlooked niche market into a meaningful new source of revenue and a competitive advantage in the market."

According to research by the Global Technology Industry Association ( GTIA ), 96% of SMB believe that technology is key to achieving business goals; 46% of SMB are increasing their technology spending year by year; 100% of SMB state that internet disruptions can lead to business halts or significant revenue losses. At the same time, choosing the right solution is not easy: 43% of SMB indicate that they spend a lot of effort researching multiple suppliers and quotes before deciding on a connection plan, with network isolation, wide coverage, and visibility into employees' internet usage being the most important features for them.

To meet these demands and to unlock new sources of revenue in this rapidly growing but undersupplied niche market, ISP must provide capabilities that go beyond basic connectivity while maintaining the ease of use for families. The solutions offered by Hitron and Airties enable ISP to sell customized solutions to SMB. By incorporating key business functions, these solutions can increase the average revenue per user ( ARPU ) compared to residential broadband, and at the same time, they reduce service costs through remote monitoring and troubleshooting.

The advanced broadband gateway of Hitron provides a high-performance connection foundation for the SMB environment, while Airties Pro adds enterprise-level networking, security features, and rich data insights on top of that. The combined solution offers secure multi-layer access capabilities for SMB, ISP, and channel partners, enabling remote management of network performance and insights across devices and applications. SMB allows for easy configuration of secure networks for employees and visitors, as well as the creation of a proprietary Wi-Fi portal. The intuitive user interface supports zero-touch installation and self-service testing, facilitating operation and maintenance without the need for IT expertise; AI-powered optimizations run in the background, resolving issues before business owners are even aware of them. Additionally, ISP provides overall visibility into its SMB customer base, which helps to optimize service and feature design.

Airties and Hitron will showcase this joint solution at SCTE TechExpo26 in Atlanta, Georgia. The exhibition will be held from September 29th to October 1st, and the location is at booth #I1528 in Hitron Americas.
