DeFi Development Corp increased its holdings of approximately 26,202 SOL from September 28 to October 2, worth about 3 million US dollars. For details on the capital changes, please refer to the 8-K filing submitted by the company on October 5. An 8-K is a form used by listed companies to disclose significant events.
This NASDAQ-listed company, with the stock code DFDV, currently holds 2,564,212 units of SOL as well as " SOL equivalents " (equivalent to SOL assets), but this term is not defined in the document. The company has valued this portion of its assets at $302 million. Compared to the 2,538,010 units held on September 25th, this number has increased by 1%.
The pace of the company's share purchases is slowing down. DFDV increased its holdings by 101,381 SOL shares in the week ending September 18, and then by another 47,706 shares in the following week.
CEO Joseph Onorati gave a different statement in the company's press release. He said, "The ship DFDV is flying at lightning speed. We continue to buy SOL, and since August 12th, the size of our treasury has grown by 11%."

Here, “lightning speed” is approximately only half of the pace of increased holdings from the previous week.
DFDV is what's known as a digital asset vault company, which refers to enterprises that hold a large amount of a certain cryptocurrency on their balance sheets. It applies the strategy of promoting Strategy centered around Bitcoin, which Michael Saylor uses, to Solana, and also operates its own validation nodes. These computers help to maintain the network operation and earn rewards in return. For shareholders, the attractiveness lies in the fact that they can access SOL through regular brokerage accounts.
DFDV positions itself as a greater leveraged bet against Solana. In an August press release, Onorati stated that the company aims to provide investors with amplified exposure to SOL. In fact, this means that fluctuations in the price of SOL are expected to be more strongly reflected in the stock price, whether it rises or falls.
This company was formerly known as Janover and was a commercial real estate platform until it underwent a transformation in 2025. In May 2025, it held nearly 600,000 SOL; and now its holding volume has more than quadrupled from that time.
