Xiaomi announced today that the pre-order for the Mi Home Desktop Learning Lamp Max has begun, with a retail price of 799 yuan.

This desk lamp features a dual-reflection light control structure that effectively reduces direct light and minimizes glare interference, achieving precise light control without causing discomfort to the eyes. It employs a wide-area lighting scheme that can evenly cover a large desktop measuring 1.6m x 0.6m, with an average illuminance of over 950 lx. When the screen-viewing mode is activated, the forward light projection targets only the desktop area, thereby reducing visual disturbances caused by screen reflections.

This new product is Xiaomi's first desk lamp to feature a backlit design. It adopts a new background compensation light design that enhances the ambient brightness through diffused light reflection, reducing the contrast between bright and dark areas in the field of view. The lamp uses upgraded single-core, multi-peak full-spectrum light bulbs with a GFC (solar spectrum fitting coefficient) greater than 0.985 and a Ra general color rendering index of 97.
In terms of optical quality, its lighting effect surpasses the performance requirements of the AA level of brightness for reading and writing desk lamps. The average illuminance in regular areas can reach 1100 lx, with a uniformity of less than 4; the average illuminance in the central area is greater than 1650 lx, and the uniformity in the central area is 1.6. It adopts Xiaomi's Qingshan eye protection solution and features RG0 levels of protection against flicker and blue light hazards.
In terms of intelligence, this new product is equipped with dual photosensitive sensors, both above and below, which can detect changes in desk and ambient light in real-time, intelligently coordinating the brightness of the main light and backlight. It also features a 24GHz radar that supports seat occupancy detection, eliminating the need for repeated manual on/off operations. Additionally, it provides intelligent lighting reminders, alerts for prolonged periods of focus, reminders for fatigue from sitting for long times, and notifications when ambient light is insufficient. The duration of these reminders can be customized through Mi Home App.
