Autonex officially launched, integrating automotive trading platform services in Europe and Canada

Munich, October 13, 2026 / PRNewswire / — The leading international automotive trading platform group Autonex was officially launched today as a brand-new unified entity, integrating several well-known brands including AutoScout24 in Europe and AutoTrader.ca in Canada, with operations covering nine markets in Europe and Canada.

Autonex and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the "Group") have an annual revenue of over 800 million euros, a total of over 40 million monthly independent users, cooperate with more than 45,000 dealer partners, and at any given point in time, possess information on over 2 million vehicles for sale. The Group claims to hold a leading position in most of the markets in which it operates, including Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Nordic region.

The launch of Autonex reflects the group's ongoing deepening of operational and technical integration around a shared platform, which is equipped with Autonex Intelligence. Autonex Intelligence is a set of products and capabilities driven by artificial intelligence, built on a credible proprietary data foundation, and can bring new ways of interaction, automation capabilities, and decision support to dealers and consumers. The group states that this shared platform will provide a unified focus for its continued development.

The group will continue to carry out market operations through its existing brands targeting consumers and distributors, including AutoScout24 in Europe, AutoTrader.ca and AutoHebdo.net in Canada, LeasingMarkt.de in Germany, as well as AutoProff for the wholesale market in Europe B2B.

CEO Peter Brooks - Johnson stated: " Autonex will redefine the car trading platform. We have built a company that combines scale, technology, and ambition, capable of changing the way vehicles are bought, sold, and leased in Europe and Canada. By integrating these trusted brands on a platform empowered by AI, we can innovate more quickly, bring better results to dealers, and create a better experience for consumers."

Autonex indicates that the company is built on a unique combination of three key pillars, which will form the foundation for the group's long-term growth and value creation:

  • A leading automotive trading platform that connects buyers and sellers on a large scale in Europe and Canada.
  • A shared and scalable platform that enables products, business capabilities, and best practices to be efficiently promoted across various markets.
  • A comprehensive range of dealer solution kits, including cross-border B2B transactions conducted through AutoProff.

A shared platform designed for expansion

The core of Autonex is a unified platform that covers all markets. This platform is built on credible proprietary market data formed by millions of consumer interactions, dealer relationships, and vehicle listing information, enabling the group to quickly expand its products, business capabilities, and innovations across various countries while maintaining strong local market expertise.

Autonex Intelligence: Transforming AI into better outcomes for dealers and consumers

Autonex integrates the capabilities of AI across the group under Autonex Intelligence, combining artificial intelligence, credible proprietary market data, and deep integration of the entire automotive transaction process to create tangible value for dealers and consumers. The company states that by enhancing product performance and expanding the scope of Autonex services on various trading platforms, these capabilities will bring additional business and growth opportunities. These capabilities will be launched in Europe through AutoScout24 Intelligence and in Canada through AutoTrader Intelligence.

AI will support both parties of the trading platform, helping consumers make better car purchasing decisions and also assisting dealers in operating their businesses more efficiently. Autonex Intelligence The two latest and upcoming innovations include:

  • Conversational search: As consumers increasingly rely on AI to research products and assist in purchasing decisions, conversational search has directly incorporated this behavior into car trading platforms. It elevates vehicle searches to a personal car-buying assistant, helping buyers to sort through options and find the right vehicle based on their own needs and budgets. For dealers, this means that buyer information is more comprehensive, consultations are more relevant, and the intention to purchase is higher.
  • Distributor Agents: This AI driven business partner can help distributors extract more value from their inventory. It transforms trading platform and operational performance data into actionable recommendations, indicating areas where distributors can improve pricing, visibility, or listing quality, and helps them focus on the most important actions to take.

Support cross-border transactions

Cross-border transactions are an important and growing part of the group's dealer service portfolio. Due to differences in supply and demand, prices, and vehicle model structures, there are numerous dealer-to-dealer transaction flows across various European markets. The company stated that in the past, such transactions were largely conducted informally between dealers, resulting in decentralized processes that were often inefficient.

Autonex indicates that through AutoProff as well as the group's broader trading platform capabilities, the company aims to support dealers by providing services related to procurement, auctioning, pricing, testing, fund custody, transportation, and taxation, making these transactions more efficient and easier to participate in.
