News from the IT Home on October 13th: Xiaomi Automobile officially announced today that in September 2026, its SU7 model ranked first in sedan sales with over 200,000 units sold.

As previously reported by IT, Xiaomi Automobile's official Weibo account announced at the beginning of this month that in September 2026, Xiaomi Automobile's delivery volume exceeded 40,000 units.

The automotive sales data tracking and analysis team ECC blogger from the intelligence bureau @HiBigStar_ECC shared yesterday the sales figures for Xiaomi's car models in September (the data source is based on insurance registration numbers). The SU7 series sold 15,710 units, of which Ultra accounted for 50 units.

Extended reading shows that Xiaomi SU7 is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized pure electric sedan. In the sales rankings for mid-to-large-sized sedans in September 2026, aside from SU7 ranking first with 15,751 units sold, the second place was taken by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with 8,200 units, and the third place by the Audi A6L with 8,022 units. In the segment of pure electric sedans priced between 200,000 to 250,000 yuan, following SU7 in September 2026 were models such as the Tesla Model 3 (14,478 units), Seal 08 EV (6,926 units), and Galaxy TT (6,894 units).

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra mentioned in the text is the high-performance flagship version of the SU7 series. It was released and launched on February 27, 2025, with a price of 529,900 yuan. It is equipped with a super three-motor system, has a maximum horsepower of 1548PS, an 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 1.98 seconds (excluding the starting time), and a top speed of 350km/h. The Xiaomi HAD end-to-end intelligent driving system is standard across the entire range. The price range for the SU7 series is from 219,900 to 303,900 yuan. On March 28, 2024, the first-generation Xiaomi SU7 was officially launched and delivered, and on March 19, 2025, the new generation Xiaomi SU7 was released, with a starting price of 219,900 yuan.

In September 2026, Xiaomi Automobile's total brand retail sales reached 40,015 units, a month-on-month increase of about 33% compared to 30,153 units in August. Excluding SU7, Xiaomi YU7 delivered approximately 11,800 units that month, while the newly launched Xiaomi Pengcheng range-extended series (N70, N90) delivered over 12,000 units in its first month, accounting for nearly 30% of the total insurance registrations for that month.

Pengcheng is Xiaomi Auto's second product series following SU7 and YU7. It was officially launched on the evening of September 7, 2026, with the first model being the extended-range vehicle SUV. The series includes three models: N70 Pro, N70 Max, and N90 Max. Based on the Kunlun extended-range architecture, delivery of these vehicles began on September 12.

As of August 17, 2026, the cumulative delivery volume of Xiaomi's SU7 series officially exceeded 500,000 units, which took approximately 28.5 months from the start of official deliveries.

Strategy bought Bitcoin, but spent more money on repurchasing its own STRC preferred stocks
Strategy purchased 250 bitcoins within a week ending October 11, costing approximately $21.5 million, but during the same period, it spent $192.4 million on repurchasing STRC preferred stocks, which is about 8.95 times the amount spent on buying bitcoins. The article argues that this reflects a competition between the company's bitcoin reserve strategy and its financing structure for capital allocation. Simply comparing the amounts spent on repurchases and buying bitcoins is not sufficient to determine whether the company has changed its direction.

AI can be autonomously replicated or appear in IoT devices
Anthropic described in their research blog the autonomous replication experiment of AI: Small models are now capable of inference on a variety of hardware, and GLM-5.2 has completed the simplification of the replication process. The research shows that devices with limited memory can support larger models through shared shard weights, but the propagation process is expected to be slower and more sustained.
