The Astana International Financial Center Court of Kazakhstan ( AIFC ) has prohibited six platforms from providing digital asset services without permission within its jurisdiction, and has extended the access restrictions to app stores as well.

The Astana Financial Services Authority ( AFSA ) stated on Tuesday that the courts issued these bans after regulatory authorities sued several operators of crypto platforms for providing digital asset services without authorization.

On September 15th, the command named BingX, Bitcoin.com, Huobi Global ( HTX ), BitMart, Coinbase, LBank, and WEEX; three days later, a amendment was made to remove LBank after its operator blocked access within Kazakhstan.

According to this announcement, Google and Apple are also listed as app store operators, and the geographical access restrictions applicable to those platforms also apply to them.

AFSA indicates that users of unauthorized platforms lack the protections that licensed companies are required to provide, including asset protection, information disclosure, complaint handling, and dispute resolution. The National Bank of Kazakhstan is responsible for supervising digital asset service providers other than AIFC.

As of the time of publication, comments requests sent by Cointelegraph to BingX, Coinbase, and Huobi Global have not yet received a response.

AFSA CEO Evgeniya Bogdanova stated: "This court ruling is the result of the long-term and continuous efforts of the AFSA supervision and enforcement team, aimed at addressing the activities of unlicensed crypto platforms that have placed advertisements without authorization and provided digital asset-related services in Kazakhstan without the required permits."

AFSA indicates that in 2025, this organization issued warnings regarding AIFC regulations to more than 20 platforms. Nine of these platforms voluntarily restricted access to their services within this Central Asian country, while seven others stated their intention to apply for licenses. The organization has withdrawn its claims against these nine platforms, and the ban will now be enforced against the remaining six platforms.

Cointelegraph Previous reports stated that the country's financial regulatory authorities blocked access to nearly 1,000 crypto exchanges in 2023 that provided services to citizens without proper registration.
