Las Vegas, October 27th / PRNewswire / -- Oracle AI World --- Oracle today announced plans to obtain FedRAMP Class D (formerly FedRAMP High) certification for Oracle AI Database @ AWS, Oracle AI Database @ Azure, and Oracle AI Database @ Google Cloud. This will enable U.S. government and public sector organizations that need to meet FedRAMP requirements to use Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure to run regulated Oracle AI Database workloads on AWS GovCloud (the United States), Microsoft Azure Government, and Google Cloud Assured Workloads.

Oracle states that FedRAMP Class D certification across its cloud partners is expected to help serve customers of the U.S. government and public sector organizations, by incorporating FedRAMP certification packages as part of their own authorization and risk management processes. This will build upon the existing government environments of various cloud service providers that have already passed FedRAMP certification, providing organizations with a certified Oracle database service built on cloud infrastructure they already trust. By running Oracle databases in their preferred cloud environment, organizations can bring data closer to their existing applications and AI services, without the need to manage separate environments or billing accounts. The AI models in this environment will enable access to real-time Oracle data with minimal latency, allowing organizations to make more fully use of AI while keeping their data within FedRAMP Class D certified services.

Leveraging Oracle Multicloud AI Database Services to Accelerate Application Modernization

Oracle's multi-cloud solution enables organizations to migrate local Oracle databases to their preferred cloud environments with minimal application modifications. By combining the performance and scalability of Oracle Exadata with the AI services available from their preferred cloud providers, organizations can modernize critical mission applications while maintaining consistency with the existing Oracle AI Database deployment architecture, and build new AI-driven solutions.

Organizations will be able to purchase Oracle AI Database @ AWS, Oracle AI Database @ Azure, and Oracle AI Database @ Google Cloud through their respective cloud markets or qualified channel partners. These options help to simplify procurement, provide a unified customer experience and support model, and enable organizations to collaborate with trusted partners while maximizing their existing cloud investments and leveraging the benefits of Oracle licenses.

"For many governments and public sector organizations, strict compliance requirements limit their ability to fully leverage the cloud," said Nathan Thomas, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Oracle. "By bringing Oracle AI Database services into government cloud environments, we are working to remove these barriers and open up new opportunities for our customers to modernize critical mission-critical applications, derive more value from their data, and use AI to provide better services to the communities they serve."

"Governments and public sector organizations need a cloud-based path that supports their critical tasks Oracle," said G2 Krishnamoorthy, Vice President of Database Services at AWS. "The Oracle AI Database @ AWS in the AWS GovCloud (USA) is designed to support FedRAMP High as well as impact levels 4 and 5. It also enables customers to deploy across multiple AWS availability zones for high availability and to perform disaster recovery across regions. Now, customers can securely transfer their Oracle data to AWS and, with services like Amazon Bedrock, transform decades of institutional knowledge into intelligent actions without compromising on security or compliance."

"Our collaboration with Oracle continues to expand the possibilities for public sector organizations, combining the strengths of Microsoft Azure and Oracle AI Database," said Brett Tanzer, Vice President of Product Management at Microsoft Azure. "Expanding Oracle AI Database services to Azure Government will provide our common customers with greater flexibility to modernize critical workloads and create new opportunities to securely utilize their data for Microsoft AI and analytics services."

"Combining the Oracle data of critical tasks with powerful proxy capabilities like Gemini should not add additional complexity or cost," said Raj Pai, Vice President of Database Product Management at Google Cloud. "The collaboration with Oracle will help government organizations modernize regulated database workloads and create new opportunities to gain insights from their trusted data. Innovations such as Oracle AI Database Agent, for, Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise Connector, for, and Oracle AI Database @ Google Cloud demonstrate how intelligent proxies make this data more accessible through natural language."

Jim Cramer warns investors not to be fooled by the latest round of rebound in AI stock prices
CNBC Host Jim Cramer warned on Tuesday that investors might be assuming too early that artificial intelligence trading has returned to normal. Boosted by the news that banks and Blackstone have announced $63 billion in financing for Anthropic to purchase Broadcom's computing hardware, AI related stocks rose for a second consecutive trading day. However, Cramer acknowledged that this does not eliminate the pressures faced by data center trading. He pointed out that the high debt of smaller AI infrastructure companies, their Broadcom-Anthropic financing structures, as well as fluctuations in the bond market and interest rates, remain the three major risks.
