Stand With Crypto claims that in 2026, the most pro-Bitcoin U.S. Congress in history may be elected; 45 candidates have already been endorsed

Stand With Crypto indicates that the United States is on its way to electing the most pro-Bitcoin congress in history. At the same time, this advocacy group is calling on supporters of digital assets to vote in the mid-term elections on November 3rd.

  • The campaign of Stand With Crypto has supported 45 candidates in the House of Representatives and Senate elections.
  • Mason Lynaugh It is expected that the next congress will be the most supportive of Bitcoin to date.
  • The Senate endorsers include Jon Husted from three states, Ashley Hinson, and Chris Pappas.
  • The organization links its electoral actions with the promotion of legislation to reform the structure of the federal crypto market.

On election day, Bitcoin Magazine shared a video of Stand With Crypto, the executive director of Mason Lynaugh, and quoted him as saying, "We are moving towards having a congress that is more pro-Bitcoin than ever in history."

The organization also issued its own appeal on X, telling supporters that for many years Washington has been making decisions regarding cryptocurrency without listening to the opinions of its users. The post read: “Today, the final say is in our hands.” It then called on people to vote.

Stand With Crypto now supports 42 candidates for the House of Representatives and 3 candidates for the Senate.

According to the endorsement rounds already announced by the organization, these 45 endorsements include 42 candidates for the House of Representatives and 3 candidates for the Senate. The organization's announcement in September added 7 more names to the list of 38 House of Representatives candidates it had previously supported.

In the announcement in September, the organization listed Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted, Iowa Republican Representative Ashley Hinson, and New Hampshire Democratic Representative Chris Pappas as its targets for Senate support.

The four new endorsements from the House of Representatives were given to Democratic Representative Shomari Figures from Alabama, Republican Representatives Mariannette Miller to Meeks from Iowa, Republican candidate Derek Merrin from Ohio, and Democratic candidate Janelle Stelson from Pennsylvania.

In addition, the organization allocated additional advertising resources to six House of Representatives campaigns. The candidates they selected included Don Davis from North Carolina, Susie Lee from Nevada, Zach Nunn from Iowa, Bryan Steil from Wisconsin, as well as Merrin and Stelson.

Candidate ratings are based on voting records and public statements.

Stand With Crypto added 32 current members of Congress from both parties in its endorsement round in August. The organization stated that its candidates were scored based on their public statements, legislative records, and their responses to their questionnaire.

As previously reported by crypto.news, these 32 endorsed members all voted in favor of the passage of the CLARITY bill by the House of Representatives in July 2025. The list includes Republicans Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, as well as Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer.

The organization's voter platform allows users to enter their addresses to find local elections and compare candidates' stances on crypto-related issues. Its election tools also include the ability to check voter registration status, obtain information about voting locations, and access resources for early voting.

In the interview Bitcoin Magazine released on October 23, Lynaugh mentioned that the organization has 3.1 million advocates, 50 state-level branches, and 47 university branches. The interview linked his predictions about the composition of Congress with the organization's voter mobilization efforts in the final stages before the mid-term elections.

The campaign initially started with support from 6 current members of parliament. During a public event in Miami in May, Lynaugh outlined their strategy, which focused on constituencies where their supporters could potentially influence the outcome of closely contested elections; at that time, the organization claimed to have 2.7 million advocates.

The " CLARITY Bill" Fails, Affecting Senate Election Strategies

After the Senate was unable to advance the "CLARITY Act" in September, Lynaugh stated that the initiators of the organization are focusing on selecting members of Congress who will bring their advocacy for clear crypto regulations to the floor.

The procedural vote that did not pass this time concluded on September 15 with a result of 49 votes in favor to 50 votes against, with another senator being absent. The motion required 60 votes to proceed; at that time, the senators were voting on whether to initiate the consideration of the bill, rather than on whether to ultimately pass it or not.

Husted voted in favor of the motion. Senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst — who is also competing for her seat — also voted in favor. Senator from New Hampshire, Jeanne Shaheen — who is competing for her seat as well — voted against it.

Federal legislation records describe the "CLARITY Act" as a piece of legislation that establishes a regulatory framework for the issuance and sale of digital commodities under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Its provisions involve a federal framework for regulating digital asset enterprises and trading activities.

Progress has been made on Bitcoin reserve legislation in a House committee.

The Bitcoin reserve policy, on the other hand, follows a different legislative path. On September 16th, the House Financial Services Committee passed a revised bill with a vote of 28 to 21, proposing to incorporate "strategic Bitcoin reserves" into federal law.

The "American Reserve Modernization Act" passed by the committee proposes to set a holding period of at least 20 years for Bitcoin deposited in reserves, and requires the release of reserve certification reports annually.

The bill text requires the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce to study how to acquire Bitcoin in a budget-neutral manner without increasing taxes, borrowing, or expanding deficit spending. A voluntary custodial program will allow states to deposit Bitcoin into a segregated account with the Ministry of Finance while retaining ownership of these assets.
