Artificial intelligence is making cyberattacks faster, cheaper, and more frequent, pushing security issues to the top of the agenda for every board of directors. Anecdotes Security KPIs can automatically and continuously provide security executives and their boards of directors with a complete, data-driven view of the organization's current state.

Tel Aviv, Israel, and Palo Alto, California, November 5, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Anecdotes Today, we announce the launch of Anecdotes Security KPIs, a new security application that can directly extract data from the company's source systems and automatically generate secure KPI in business language, suitable for board of directors reading, on a continuous basis. Anecdotes states that this release is aimed at addressing a challenge they have repeatedly heard from CISO: how to present the status of security projects to the board of directors in clear and reliable business terms without spending weeks collecting data manually.

Why now?

Driven by faster, cheaper attacks powered by AI, network security has become one of the most concerning topics for boards of directors. Boards of directors increasingly wish to understand the current state of security initiatives in a simple and clear manner: to what extent the organization is protected, how likely incidents are to occur, and how fast recovery will be possible.

These questions are easy to pose, but difficult to answer. To reflect security projects through a set of KPI categorized by domain, it is necessary to collect, aggregate, and analyze data from each related operation and tool. For a typical enterprise size, this is a complex coordination task that often takes several weeks of manpower for each reporting cycle. Even so, what is ultimately presented on the slides is often incomplete and becomes outdated by the time the meeting begins.

The purpose of Anecdotes Security KPIs is to bridge this gap, ensuring that the figures presented to the board of directors are consistent with those actually in operation within the organizational environment.

Working Principle

Anecdotes Security KPIs can establish data pipelines for a company's source systems within minutes, extracting real-time data such as asset inventories, vulnerabilities, completion of security training, access and handover upon departure, and the status of cloud environments. Subsequently, it calculates various KPI from each relevant record in a deterministic manner, without the need for manual spreadsheets or last-minute rush reports. Each KPI can be set within the following range:

  • A single artifact—for example, a centralized list of devices from MDM.
  • Multiple workpieces – for example, all servers that are across AWS accounts, GCP projects, and Azure subscriptions – are presented as one metric.
  • A part of the workpiece – for example, the completion status of training only for R&D staff.

Since each KPI is calculated in a deterministic manner through real-time recording, the same data will always yield the same numerical result, and each value can be traced back to its source system.

“The scrutiny we face is more intense than ever before, and we often have to defend a slideshow that was handmade the night before,” said BJW KEEP co-founder and CEO. “But this has never been just a boardroom job, nor is it just a tool of BJW KEEP. Continuous measurement makes security performance something that everyone responsible for it sees and experiences every day, and that’s the kind of operational discipline needed to keep up with attackers. That’s what we built BJW KEEP, and it comes entirely from our clients.”

"The difficulty has never been in the problem itself, but in the data," said Anecdotes, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Roi Amior. "Security KPI is scattered across dozens of systems, and manually generating it is a nightmare that repeats with each cycle. By solving the data issue first, we can enable CISO to clearly and continuously see their own security coverage, and present the same information to the board of directors without wasting weeks of time."
