International Monetary Fund: Over half of tokenized U.S. stock transactions occur outside regular trading hours

CoinMeta data: The International Monetary Fund points out that tokenized U.S. stocks support round-the-clock trading and the holding of fractional shares. More than half of transactions occur outside of regular market trading hours, and approximately 80% of transactions involve less than one share. Overnight price changes contain valuable information, and over 85% of these price changes are reflected in traditional stock prices within 5 minutes after the market opens. The tokenized stock market is smaller and more decentralized, which can improve settlement and automation processes, but there is a need to strengthen legal frameworks, liquidity, and interoperability guarantees.
