Trezor Announces the Termination of Cooperation with Some Distributors on January 1, 2027
2026-10-14 02:19:00
According to CoinMeta, after a major security vulnerability was discovered in competitor Ledger, Trezor decided to significantly reduce its network of authorized dealers. Danny Sanders, the Chief Commercial Officer of Trezor, revealed in a letter to partners that the authorizations of affected dealers would be revoked on January 1, 2027, in order to strengthen control over the supply chain. This decision was made after malicious hardware implants were found in Ledger devices. Although Trezor emphasized that this move was a preventive measure and there is no evidence that Trezor devices were affected, affected dealers will still be able to sell their remaining inventory until the termination date, including during Black Friday and holiday seasons. Trezor stated that reducing the number of dealers will facilitate more thorough security inspections.
