CZ Questions the Confidentiality Agreement Related to the $80 Million Ledger Wallet Hack Incident

CoinMeta data: Zhao Changpeng ( CZ ), the founder of Binance, questioned a confidentiality agreement related to the transfer of ownership with a Malaysian wallet reseller on October 11 ( NDA ). This incident involved a loss of over 80 million US dollars in cryptocurrencies. The agreement restricted the previous owners from discussing the transaction publicly before October 19. Investigations revealed the presence of unauthorized hardware components in certain devices. Nevertheless, the transfer of ownership of Cryptobilis has little to do with the Ledger wallet hacking incident, and it is still unclear whether this change is related to the hackers' theft of cryptocurrencies. According to media reports, Cryptobilis changed ownership in March 2026.
