According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially approved prediction market-style options linked to the performance of Coinbase, Nvidia, Tesla, and 20 other companies. Traders will be able to bet on company indicators, such as whether the trading volume of Coinbase and the Bitcoin production of MARA will be higher or lower than set levels. Winning contracts pay a fixed amount of $1, while losing contracts will expire. More than 100 indicators will be listed, ranging from Nvidia's data center revenue to SpaceX's total income. Robinhood will become the first retail broker to offer such options, and there will be no fees charged until the end of the year.
