2026-10-15 14:20:09
According to CoinMeta, Blackstone Group CEO Larry Fink stated in an interview with CNBC that AI is making substantial investments in data centers, and any efforts to slow down this process could harm the U.S. economy. He pointed out that the construction of data centers is crucial to the U.S. economy, and if it stops due to environmental concerns, it could lead to a recession. Fink also mentioned that public opinion regarding data centers is deteriorating, with surveys showing that nearly 49% of Americans believe that data centers have a significant impact on the environment. Moody predicts that U.S. capital expenditures on data centers will reach $700 billion this year and are expected to increase to $2.4 trillion to $2.48 trillion by 2030.
