CoinMeta data: Macro analyst Jim Willie indicates that XRP needs to reach $200 in order to play a greater role in the reserve system of the International Monetary Fund ( IMF ). He believes that IMF has actually gone further in considering including XRP in the Special Drawing Rights ( SDR ) than they admit. Willie points out that XRP can be used as a unit of delivery and repayment when IMF provides loans to countries such as Bangladesh. He also mentioned that the price forecasts for XRP are based on the scale of the derivatives market; if Ripple only handles 1% of the trading volume in that market, XRP would need to move approximately $3 trillion to $4 trillion each month. Willie believes that stablecoins cannot replace XRP, as most stablecoins are backed by government debt and cannot serve as a neutral bridge between conflict-ridden countries.
