Analyst: Bitcoin Falls Below $81,000, AI Selling Intensifies

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin has once again fallen below $81,000 due to intensified selling of AI stocks. On Wednesday, Bitcoin briefly rose to near $84,000 due to inflation data in the United States exceeding expectations, but then slipped to around $80,400 in early trading on Thursday, slightly above last Thursday's low of $80,430. Bitcoin has declined by 2.6% in the past 24 hours. Core inflation (excluding food and energy) has risen to 2.6%, higher than the expected 2.5%. High inflation figures increase the likelihood of another interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve, which typically pushes up the dollar and puts pressure on assets such as Bitcoin. The Federal Reserve will hold another meeting on October 27-28. AI stocks also added to market pressure, with NASDAQ 100 futures falling by 1.2%. Meanwhile, ZEC led the decline among cryptocurrencies, with a drop of 11% to around $1,100, and Ethereum fell by 5% to around $2,370. According to CoinMeta data, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF lost approximately $261 million on Wednesday. If the daily closing price falls below $80,400, it will break a support level that buyers have defended twice since last Thursday.
