CoinMeta data: Bitcoin fell below $81,000 on Thursday, continuing the decline from the previous day. Previously, U.S. consumer prices rose faster than expected, reigniting bets on a Federal Reserve interest rate hike. The current trading price of Bitcoin is $81,002, down 2.7% in the past 24 hours and 2.5% in the past week. In September, consumer prices rose 3.7% year-on-year and 0.6% month-on-month, the largest monthly increase in five months, mainly driven by energy costs related to the Iran war. Traders' probability of an interest rate hike this month has risen from 24% to 43%. The Federal Reserve raised interest rates to the range of 3.75% to 4% in September. CME FedWatch shows that the probability of a hike on Thursday is 29.3%, compared to 17.7% a week ago. Analyst Stephen Wundke stated that as long as Bitcoin remains above $79,500, the bull market dream can continue. Inflation has been above the Federal Reserve's 2% target for 66 consecutive months, setting a record for the longest period this century.
