Nasdaq Listed; SkyAI Nearly Emptyed Its Holdings; Plans to Repurchase Its Own Shares
2026-10-15 23:45:36
CoinMeta Data: SkyAI, which is listed on Nasdaq, announced that it has reduced its holdings of Solana from over 2 million to 210,000 coins, and plans to repurchase shares at $3 per share due to shareholders' doubts about its asset-selling strategy. On October 14, SkyAI disclosed that it currently holds approximately 210,000 locked SOL coins and $204.6 million in cash, whereas its September report showed holdings of over 2 million SOL coins. The company expects not to hold any more SOL after completing the proposed acquisition offer. SkyAI's rapid liquidation represents a significant reversal from the corporate cryptocurrency treasury model, which typically emphasizes accumulating digital assets and increasing the exposure rate of tokens per share. The decision by SkyAI reflects the pressures faced by companies that hold cryptocurrencies as corporate reserves, especially in times of volatile cryptocurrency prices.
