From Anduril to Zendesk, executives are assigning these tasks to individual AI agents.

As personal AI agents begin to connect to private accounts such as banks, email services, and calendars, and perform operations on the internet on behalf of users, corporate executives are trying to utilize them for tasks like expense reimbursement, travel planning, appointments, cost negotiations, and information tracking. However, several respondents emphasized that they still wish to retain the final approval authority before AI actually carries out actions such as sending emails or making payments.

The Muse of Meta is very popular, and the Instinct also continues to maintain its heat. Perhaps the era of individual AI proxy services has finally arrived, and corporate executives are embracing it.

The design goal of the individual AI is to connect your personal accounts – including banks, email, and calendars – and to act on your behalf autonomously on the internet.

For some people, the vision of automating daily tasks such as replying to emails and booking holidays has already helped them save time and money. Others have experienced nightmare scenarios as a result.

In interviews, the answers given by these executives ranged from requests for reimbursement for outsourcing services to hiring dog walkers, but there was one common condition they all retained: before AI took actual action, they still hoped to have the final decision-making power.

Jeff Miller, Anduril

Anduril, the Chief Marketing Officer, stated that individuals AI are "very crazy." "I'm using Muse, ChatGPT; I'm using everything I can think of."

The company where Miller works produces its own defense technology. He said that recently, using the AI tool, he finally completed the reimbursement forms that had been piled up for six months, hired a new dog walker, and also improved his fitness routine.

“I’m actually using it right now to help negotiate new insurance rates for me,” he told Business Insider.

Miller said that he would allow these tools to access his personal bank information and email, but he has always consciously not allowed AI to send any content on his behalf without final approval.

He said, "From a personal perspective, I believe in its security, but in the end, it's still me who presses 'yes' or 'no' when I send emails or make purchases."

Eric Snowden, Adobe

Adobe, the Senior Vice President of Design, stated that during his trip to Amsterdam to attend the HumanX conference, he used the Muse agent of Meta to book a restaurant. After returning home, he also used it to schedule a flu vaccination appointment.

What impressed him even more was that this agent took the initiative to do things. “It was so smart that it realized I was renovating my apartment, found an email from a contractor that I hadn’t seen, and then reminded me, ‘You need to sign these important documents.’” he said.

Snowden is helping Adobe to drive transformation, as AI is bringing in new creative tools. He stated that he would even be willing to pay a subscription fee for products like Muse. "This is the first tool I've used that I'm sure people without a technical background can really make use of," he said.

Umesh Sachdev, Uniphore

Uniphore CEO Umesh Sachdev stated to Business Insider that he has set up many internal proxies for work, but he also enjoys using Meta's Muse for personal purposes.

He said, "I don't have that anxiety of missing information. I've been in Amsterdam for the past three hours, so what's going on in the world? What has Trump done again? Muse will handle all that for me through platforms like X and LinkedIn."

Todd Lohr, KPMG

The person in charge of artificial intelligence, Todd Lohr, stated that he is a loyal supporter of AI and regularly tries various tools on a daily basis.

This executive from one of the Big Four accounting firms does not have an engineering background. He said that in his own home, the most common use case is for travel planning. He has also been constantly working on automating household technologies, such as security settings and cameras.

Lohr was appointed in September as the head of the newly established, Silicon Valley-inspired AI department at KPMG. He stated that so far, he has not encountered any mistakes caused by personal AI.

He said, "I am willing to believe that I know how to give hints in order to avoid it causing hallucinations." However, the way he treats this technology at home is similar to how he does it at work: "You need to set up a proxy to check your proxy. You need to check the output results."

Tom Eggemeier, Zendesk

Zendesk CEO Tom Eggemeier is transforming the company into an organization where more and more tasks are being handled by AI agents. Therefore, it is not surprising that he is also exploring how such agents as Muse can benefit his personal life as well.

He mentioned to Business Insider that he had achieved results by using Muse in the early stages: this agent helped him negotiate better prices for both mobile phone plans and internet services, saving him about $2,000 per year. Eggemeier said that he believes with a few more optimizations, this agent could help him save even more money in the future.
