Miami, October 19th / PRNewswire / -- Credit intelligence firm 2GenPen and structured credit firm Lord Capital ( LordCap ) today announced a strategic partnership to advance credit analysis and scoring for asset-backed securities ( ABS ) transactions. Both parties plan to apply 2GenPen's MUseQ ® framework and MQval ™ scoring to certain ABS credits, in order to provide market participants with additional insights into the underlying credit strength and relative viability.

This cooperation is particularly relevant to unrated ABS transactions. In such transactions, in the absence of traditional credit ratings, investors and other market participants may benefit from a consistent, evidence-based evaluation method. For rated transactions, this method can provide a common framework on top of existing credit analysis for comparing credit across structures and asset classes.

Lord Capital President Joseph Lau stated: "We are very pleased to collaborate with 2GenPen, as we believe they represent the future of credit analysis. It is of great importance that our clients can benefit from their advanced, patented analytical methods and evidence-based credit frameworks."

Penny Pan, co-founder and Chief Product Officer of 2GenPen, stated: "Our collaboration with Lord Capital focuses on helping investment professionals assess the underlying credit strength and compare rated and unrated ABS credits in a consistent manner. Our goal is to make credit analysis more efficient and to support more informed investment decisions."

2GenPen's MQval ™ is aimed at expressing relative credit resilience on a continuous, cross-asset class scale. Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to demonstrate how independent credit intelligence can help market participants better understand and compare complex structured financial exposures. This announcement is released concurrently with ABS East in 2026, and 2GenPen will introduce these capabilities to participants in the structured finance market at that event.
