Atlanta, October 19th / PRNewswire / -- Scientific Games indicates that its instant lottery ticket production facility in the United States has obtained Level 2 certification under the World Lottery Association ( World Lottery Association ) Security Control Standards 2024 ( WLA Security Control Standard 2024 ). This facility serves lottery games in nearly all states of the United States and is located at the global headquarters in the Atlanta metropolitan area; it is also the largest instant lottery ticket production facility in the world. The facility previously held WLA security certification and now fully complies with the WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 standards, which represent the highest level of certification that lottery suppliers can achieve under these guidelines.
As the company has obtained WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 certification for its main scratch-off lottery facilities in the United States and the United Kingdom, Scientific Games continues to strengthen the security management of its global instant lottery production business.
The secondary standards specify the practices required to establish an effective security management framework, in order to maintain the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of information that is crucial for the safe operation of lottery suppliers.

WLA-SCS : The 2024 secondary standards incorporate the ISO / IEC 27001:2022 information security requirements established by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission, as well as the security and integrity control measures for lotteries formulated by WLA. Both are independent organizations responsible for developing consistent standards, benchmarks, and tests to ensure security and reliability, build trust, and protect the safety of personnel and products. ISO / IEC 27001:2022 is one of the most renowned information security management system standards globally.
Scientific Games obtained its WLA security control standard certification for its facilities for the first time in 2011. This certification requires comprehensive independent audits, annual supervisory audits, and a full re-certification every three years. The instant lottery gaming facilities of the company located in the UK obtained WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 certification in 2026.
