Pittsburgh, October 19th / PRNewswire / -- Net Health, an artificial intelligence-based specialty platform that provides services for clinicians, announced today that Ron Books will transition from the position of CEO to Executive Chairman, succeeding Donna Morea; Donna Morea will continue to remain on the board of directors in his role as a director.
Books will return to ECI Solutions to serve as the Chief Executive Officer and will continue to provide guidance on the long-term strategic direction of Net Health at the board level. To ensure operational continuity, Net Health, the Chief Operating Officer, Patrick Rooney, has been appointed as the interim Chief Executive Officer. The board of directors has initiated a comprehensive search for a new Chief Executive Officer, with a focus on candidates who have mature experience in driving technological innovation and expanding enterprise-level artificial intelligence on specialized clinical platforms.
Books to lead Net Health is an honor, and the people here are the reason for that. Returning to ECI is a personal decision, and it is quite difficult. I am grateful to this team, and I have full trust in Patrick; the board of directors and I will work together to find the next CEO.
Books took on the position of CEO in October 2023. During his tenure, Net Health completed the migration to Microsoft Azure and made several significant acquisitions, including Alinea and Limber Health. He also reorganized the company into multiple business departments led by respective presidents and facilitated the formulation of the company's mission statement: Technology built for critical moments.
Morea indicates that: Ron's joining Net Health is to lay the foundation for growth, and thanks to his leadership, the platform, product portfolio, and business unit structure have all become stronger. I am very pleased to continue to be involved in this work as a director after a period of significant modernization and expansion into new markets. As Ron, Patrick, and the management team continue to push forward, the momentum of development continues."
