Wuhu, China, October 23, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- On October 22, 2026, Chery held the "Chery Brand Safety Challenge" at the Wuhu Longshan Crash Laboratory, with the theme "Safety for the Whole Family." Media from around the world, automotive industry leaders, and family users witnessed the comprehensive vehicle crash tests on-site. Chery stated that the vehicle successfully passed the test of colliding with a truck at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour, demonstrating the protective capabilities provided by its body structure and restraint systems.
Beyond parameters: Putting security to the real test
In his opening speech, Liang Yugen, one of the responsible persons for Chery Automobile's business, stated that safety is not an optional feature, but a basic requirement for vehicle manufacturing and entering global markets. He pointed out that the TIGGO7 series has received the highest five-star rating from China’s C-NCAP, Europe’s Euro NCAP, Australia’s ANCAP, as well as ASEAN NCAP. Chery claimed that these achievements reflect its philosophy of “In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere” and its commitment to users around the world.
The event introduces a weekend outing scenario through an immersive home setting and a short outdoor travel video, followed by a transition to a collision laboratory that links testing with the safety of daily family travel.
Real-world collision tests to inspect the vehicle's impact resistance
After the countdown ended, TIGGO7 underwent a crash test, which was broadcast live via the LED screen. Subsequently, safety expert Li Jun entered the test area to introduce the results to the guests present: when the collision occurred, the eCall system automatically activated and triggered emergency rescue assistance; the A-pillar, B-pillar, and car doors remained intact, and there was no significant intrusion into the passenger cabin; the seat belt pretensioners and airbags worked together to protect the crash test dummy.
The car owner shares how to make this promise more tangible and realistic

As stated in the closing speech of the event, "Because of Chery, these families can still return home safely even on the worst of days. This is not due to luck, but to capability. This is what safety is all about, for the whole family."
At the 2026 Chery International User Summit, Chery placed a focus on vehicle safety; at the same time, the global launch of AiMOGA Robotics explored intelligent technologies for family life. Chery stated that guided by the philosophy of "created for the whole family," the company will continue to adopt strict testing standards and advanced safety technologies to ensure family safety with every journey.
