On October 24th, according to news from the IT community, since the term "Lao Deng" was repeatedly used at Xpeng's MONA L05 debut event, and there were also calls for everyone to reject this "Deng-style aesthetics," Enta Etta, a product manager born in the 2000s at Xpeng Motors, released an apology video on October 22nd.

IT noticed that Thomas Electric Train, the vice president of Xpeng Group, published a lengthy article today, detailing the entire incident. He made it clear that from beginning to end, the term "Lao Deng" was merely a nickname used by the product team for several internal key leaders and was never directed at any external users. Lao Deng itself is not offensive; it is rather the derogatory comments aimed at those born in the 2000s that are truly repulsive. Let's reduce the harsh criticism directed at those born after 2000.
Xiaopeng Group's Vice President @Thomas Electric Train stated that, more than the incident itself, what is striking is that after the apology video was released, some self-media outlets treated it as a precious asset. They escalated their criticism from targeting a post-2000s girl to denouncing the entire young generation, and then labeled the product as "marketing hype." Their approach was quite sophisticated and worldly.
He also issued a "reward," stating that if anyone could prove that Xpeng was deliberately provoking the media to hype up these matters, he would be willing to offer a reward of 1 million yuan. He also said bluntly that to force a vivid and genuine expression of youth into a rigid framework and to subject it to the most malicious speculations is precisely what is detestable.
According to the plan, next Thursday, MONA L05 will be officially launched on the market. Thomas Electric Train, Vice President of Xpeng Group, revealed that Enta will still be present at the press conference, along with product manager Ouyang Nana and "representative He Xiaopeng" to give a joint presentation.
