According to CoinMeta, Bank of Korea has launched South Korea's first corporate won loan program secured by Bitcoin. Initially, it is only available to corporate customers, and the loan funds are limited to business operating capital. Bank of Korea does not directly hold or manage Bitcoin; instead, it is kept by qualified virtual asset service providers. In case of default, Bank of Korea liquidates the collateral through court auctions and other procedures to recover its claims. Bank of Korea has completed stress tests and has established a valuation system based on the weighted average prices of multiple global exchanges.
