According to CoinMeta, and as announced by Standard Chartered Bank, the bank has officially provided custody services for the US dollar stablecoin RLUSD on the XRP Ledger network to qualified institutional clients through its branch at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). At the same time, Standard Chartered is collaborating with Ripple and LMAX Group to plan to include RLUSD as a qualified collateral asset in certain trading and collateral management services under LMAX Group. This collaboration also introduces Standard Chartered's collateral mapping mechanism, allowing institutional clients to utilize the value of their custodied assets as trading collateral without the need to directly transfer RLUSD to the trading platform.
