According to CoinMeta, the parent company of Kraken, Payward, has received full market approval from the UAE Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to expand its digital asset services. This approval builds upon the preliminary approval obtained in May of this year. Payward states that customers in the UAE will be able to access spot and margin trading denominated in UAE dirhams (AED), as well as perform direct deposits and withdrawals. The company plans to launch these services in the coming weeks. Public registration for VARA shows that Payward FZCO obtained a license as a virtual assets service provider (VASP) on October 6th, which allows it to provide brokerage and trading services. This approval enables it to serve retail, professional, and institutional investors.
