DoubleZero's Federa: Rapid market data should not be privatized
2026-10-13 04:15:04
CoinMeta data: Co-founder of DoubleZero, Austin Federa, stated that fast market data should not be privatized, and anyone willing to subscribe should have access to the fastest market information. DoubleZero recently added the spot and futures data of Binance as its fifth trading venue within six months. Federa pointed out that professional traders mainly compete with other professionals in terms of speed, and providing open access to faster data is a solution to counter the speed advantage gained by professional trading firms. On October 7th, DoubleZero announced the addition of Binance, identifying this exchange as the first centralized trading venue for Edge. This service distributes market information using multicast technology over dedicated fiber optics to ensure that the data published by Binance accurately reaches subscribers. Since Edge went live in April, DoubleZero has reported over 2,000 users connected.
